Presentation Brief

Presentation Guidelines

Start from the ideal endpoint

Each member is asked to imagine the project under ideal conditions: unlimited budget, sufficient resources, smooth collaboration, mature technology, and no practical constraints. What experiment would you most want to complete, what key result would define the project, and how far could the question be pushed?

Reverse-plan back to reality

After defining the ideal endpoint, work backward to identify a feasible but ambitious path. Consider which steps are essential, which can be removed, what resources should be integrated early, and which collaborations or experimental designs can make the path faster and sharper.

Clarify the next strategic move

Each presentation should help clarify three points: what you truly want to accomplish, what currently limits the project most, and what should change next to raise both the speed and ambition of the work.

Host · Keynote Lecture I

Jun-An Chen

Epigenetic regulation in neural development: current landscape & challenges

Jun-An Chen is a tenured research fellow at the Institute of Molecular Biology, Academia Sinica. His laboratory investigates non-coding RNA function during neural development, degeneration, and aging, integrating developmental biology, neuroscience, and systems-level approaches.

Pai-Sheng Chen

Host

Pai-Sheng Chen

Pai-Sheng Chen is a professor at National Cheng Kung University. His laboratory investigates how hypoxia-inducible factor HIF-1α reshapes non-coding RNA landscapes to reprogram gene expression and translation in cancer, integrating noncanonical RNA biology, molecular mechanisms of ncRNA regulation, and translational biomarker development.
